The Park Ward Village
The Park Ward Village celebrates the intersection of nature, culture, and architecture, blurring the line between natural and built. Located in Honolulu with frontage along Auahi Street, Ward Avenue, and the new Victoria Ward Park, the 546-unit condominium project balances a duality of presence that simultaneously embraces and enlivens the neighboring park while activating the public realm.
The lush landscape of Victoria Ward Park blends into the building’s recessed 30,000-square-foot retail base, creating a shaded pedestrian promenade. Utilizing an expression similar to that of a lanai, restaurants and cafes seamlessly extend from the indoors to outdoors under the cover of deep overhangs, creating a vibrant and casual place that invites people to gather.
Inspired by the principles of mid-century modern design, the sense of craft and strong horizontal forms of the building’s base transition into a dynamic and sculptural 41-story tower above. The tower’s form folds inward towards the park to open up views to the ocean from the residential units. Horizontal planes in varying depths extend outward from the tower in a rhythmic series, breaking down the scale of the building and carving a chiseled vocabulary throughout its height.
The Park Ward Village balances activity and tranquility, public life and private sanctuary by offering one of the largest amenity programs in Ward Village.
Level eight brings residents a full floor of amenities designed to enhance the residential experience. Four private club rooms, each with a large lanai, offer space for entertaining larger groups. Several private guest suites are also available for residents to host visitors.
An expansive 56,000-square-foot outdoor amenity deck includes an abundance of active and wellness-focused offerings, including a resort and lap pool, pickleball and tennis courts, private fitness pods, and a large lawn surrounded by a collection of outdoor dining cabanas. Encircling the entirety of the amenity deck is a quarter mile walking path.
