As an Associate Principal at SCB, Chris brings 30+ years of experience in the design and construction of interior environments to his role as Studio Director of SCB’s Interior Design studio. His unique and diverse background has allowed him to specialize in value creation by implementing key workplace strategy and change management initiatives that deliver exceptional user experiences and employee engagement. His design approach focuses on understanding client goals, with special attention to reflecting a client’s brand, culture, and image. As Studio Director, Chris is responsible for leading, managing, and fostering a culture of innovative design and providing oversight of complex projects across industries, from boutique law firms to build-to-suit corporate headquarters.

Chris’ primary focus is on corporate interiors, though he has experience in a variety of sectors, including healthcare, retail/showroom, higher education, restaurant, and repositioning. Over the past three decades, his portfolio has grown to include projects across the United States, as well as in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. His interests in travel and photography provide inspiration for his design work and hone his ability to understand client needs.

Chris has worked on several award-winning projects and has contributed to articles in a number of industry publications. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Michigan.
