The Senior Interior Designer is directly responsible for the design quality of his/her projects. The senior designer is on multiple assigned projects working under minimum supervision from the Principal-in-Charge. As a design leader on his/her teams, the senior designer oversees the entire project team, including assisting the PM to coordinate and interface as necessary with consultants. The senior designer facilitates innovative, progressive, and thoughtful design solutions within budget and schedule parameters and understands and strives to fulfill our Client’s design goals.

Qualifications, Essential Skills/Attributes

• 9-12 years of professional design experience.
• Strong portfolio of Workplace experience preferred.
• NCIDQ Certificate Holder, Registered Interior Designer or Licensed Architect preferred.
• Responsible for project design development of multiple assigned projects working under minimal supervision of a Director or Principal.
• Lead the team through all phases of interior design work including programming, space planning, color and material selection, FF&E selection and specification, schematic design, design development, construction documents and contract administration.
• Exhibit a thorough working knowledge of innovative interior architectural finishes, including familiarity with manufacturers and performance standards to meet our Client’s expectations.
• Thorough understanding of the FF&E selection, specification, and procurement process from concept through execution. The senior designer will lead the effort in organizing the selection effort including the bidding process.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with the capability to influence design outcomes.
• Acute attention to detail and aesthetic sensibility.
• Ability to take charge and respectfully direct younger staff at all project stages
• Proficient in 3D digital modeling and graphics software such as Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, Grasshopper, 3ds Max, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.
