SCB was commissioned to reconfigure the Check-In Lobby and the adjacent oversize baggage screening areas at Ronald Reagan National Airport. The overall project goal was to integrate new technologies into the airport travel experience to enhance the customer experience while separating the standalone baggage screen areas from the passenger areas.

To take advantage of the customer service benefits made possible by the broader utilization of mobile devices by the traveling public, the Check-In process is reconceived. Traditional check-in counters are replaced by a combination of self-service kiosks incorporating electronic bag-tag printers and new baggage check stations.
