Located in Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood, Elevate is a 320,000-square-foot courtyard apartment complex composed of 191 luxury units ranging from studio to two bedroom and penthouse apartments, 20,000-square-feet of amenities, and a 160-space parking garage. The project replaced an underutilized and deteriorating property along Lincoln Avenue’s cultural corridor, revitalizing the streetscape and public way with over 16,000-square-feet of retail and a new enclosure for an aging neighborhood theatre.
The building is organized around an elevated, landscaped courtyard on the second level that serves as a central, community gathering space for residents. The scale and coloration of the building, combined with large floor-to-ceiling windows, reinterprets and responds to the proportions and architectural vocabulary of the surrounding neighborhood. Although the project spans an entire block, its varying scale and height, mix of materials, and active street frontage effectively weave it into the urban fabric of the neighborhood.
Designed with resident community-building in mind, Elevate’s abundant amenity program features a penthouse amenity floor with a fitness center, communal kitchen and dining room, co-working and conferencing center; and an adjoining rooftop pool terrace with commanding views of the Chicago skyline. A large and lushly landscaped courtyard terrace with a variety of outdoor seating, fire pits, and rotating game stations.
