Momad
SCB is the architect and interior designer for Momad, a luxury 25-unit boutique condominium development in Chicago’s Fulton Market. The 10-story building, located at the intersection of Morgan and Madison, steps back at each of its corners as it rises, creating a series of unique outdoor terraces for each unit. The project’s materiality adopts Fulton Market’s former industrial district aesthetic, yet adds a layer of sophistication and luxury.
A discreet residential lobby welcomes residents and their guests along Madison Street. Also located on the first floor is a bespoke fitness center. Above, the residential floors are comprised of three- and four-bedroom units, each accessible by elevator to a private foyer. The interior finishes are refined and forward thinking, combining classic materials with modern conveniences to appeal to a variety of discerning buyers, from empty-nesters returning to the city to families and professionals working in the tech-focused district.
The richness of the exterior is carried into the units through bronze accents along the window frames, dark herringbone wood flooring, and warm inset lighting. Classic elements such as monumental marble fireplaces, beautiful moldings and wall trim, and recessed window treatments set the tone for an unparalleled urban residential experience.
